Welcome to Impact DWI, Inc. Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Impact DWI, Inc. is a community action and advocacy organization, which puts an emphasis on ending alcohol abuse
in New Mexico, and is run strictly by volunteers. We are based in Santa Fe, and have been in operation since 1999.
We are a tax-exempt corporation operating under section 501 c (3) of the internal revenue code.
Originally, our mission was solely focused on the development and monthly presentation of victim impact panels.
Between 2000 and 2008, we have given 88 such panels to 5544 court mandated DWI offenders. We have raised $113,700 in fees paid by these offenders.
This money has been donated to a variety of private and local governmental organizations, which
have demonstrated to our board of directors that the money will be used to address the reduction of DWI.

IMPACT DWI NEWS ALERT
Community Forum on DWI Takes Place at SFCC
Santa Fe, NM, July 1, 2009 -- A community forum on drunk driving in New Mexico takes place July 8 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
inside Santa Fe Community College's Jemez Rooms, 6401 Richards Ave.
The forum is a response to New Mexico's ongoing struggle to prevent
DWI-related crashes, the most recent of which killed four Santa Fe teenagers on June 28.
The purpose of the forum is to get suggestions for
actions to reduce drunk driving and volunteers to participate in those actions.
Audience members can participate in an open-mic session
and write down suggestions for what citizens and legislators can do to help reduce DWI.
All suggestions will be transcribed and e-mailed to
all attendees who furnish an email address, and made available on the website, www.ImpactDWI.org.
During the public forum, Dr. Roth will give background information on DWI in New Mexico, and there will be an opportunity to contribute to the memorials
of the teenagers who were killed in the crash.
The community forum is presented by Impact DWI, an all volunteer-run community action and advocacy program devoted to reducing DWI in New Mexico. For more information, call 471-4764.
