We often participate in DWI Checkpoints. Our presence is an incentive and support
to the Law Enforcement Officers who diligently work to insure the safety of our citizens.
NEW YEARS EVE CHECKPOINT AND IGNITION INTERLOCK LAW CELEBRATION
On New Years Eve, Impact DWI along with Senator Cravens, MADD and several Officials,
were present at a DWI checkpoint / party.
Four Ignition Interlock Service Providers displayed samples of the
ignition interlocks which are mandated for DWI offenders in New Mexico after January 1, 2003.
A tent was set up with hot coffee and food
for our law enforcement. Flyers and sober driving pledges were distributed to passing
drivers, videos were shown to pedestrians and several arrests were made.
Paul Cravens, whose wife and 3 children were killed by a drunk driver,
played a major role in organizing the event |
